Since this is the season when the weather can be warm or cold about any day, I thought that I would give you some technical information straight from Harley-Davidson® about Heated Clothing. So, you can make better decisions about what heated gear you need to buy.

THE RIDING SEASON JUST GOT LONGER

Heated Clothing works with the body by supplementing the body’s natural ability to generate heat. Adjusting the intensity of the heat allows riders to stay warm and comfortable in a wider range of temperatures without tapping into the body’s resources needed to maintain its other health-dependent functions.

Plug-in or Dual-Source. Which is better depends, for the rider's needs and riding style. Plug-in Heated Clothing are powered through the motorcycle’s battery. Dual-Source Heated Clothing can be used with a portable, rechargeable lithium battery or can plug into the motorcycle battery.

 
AMPs & Wattage Draw. Harley-Davidson® Holiday Collection Has Arrived at Adventure Harley-Davidson

Well, the morning air has had a bite to it here in Northeast Ohio for the last few mornings.
The trees are transforming into a bright mosaic display of red, yellow, orange, brown. It is a great time to get out and ride. You know what will make that ride more comfortable?

Today, I want to give you some information about Harley-Davidson® Heated Grips. The following is technical info from Harley-Davidson®.

Heated Grips.

Hand temperature has a major impact on overall body comfort, and sometimes gloves are simply not enough. Having the ability to switch on a little extra warmth on a chilly morning or evening can make a difference in a your riding habits.

Cold hands can make you extremely uncomfortable and could decrease your reaction time. Harley-Davidson® thermostatically controlled grips have variable heat settings and automatic temperature monitoring to adjust to changing ambient temperatures.

With both hands on the grips, they will remain at a constant temperature regardless of changes in outside temperature. The self contained control circuit and control knobs means you have no additional switches or controller boxes to mount, and the grips are switched on/off with the ignition to avoid draining you battery. The "glueless" grip design allows grip removal if you change handlebars or motorcycles.

Harley-Davidson® Garage Organizers, Motorcycle Covers and More

This beautiful early fall weather we are having here in the Ohio Valley puts me in the mood to do all of that stuff that needs to get done before the snow comes. Yes, I still want to hit the road and have fun. Just gotta say that Harley-Davidson® has come out with so many neat organizational, storage and help items that garage clean-up and organization is no longer a hard task.

I thought I would tell you about some of them in today’s blog and give you a peek at them.

So, Harley® introduced the Detach Depot Wall Rack not too long ago. This handy rack #93100005 helps you declutter your garage by offering a place to store windshields, backrests, luggage racks and Tour Pak® luggage. You can read all about it here.

Harley-Davidson® just came out with a Detach Depot for Saddlebags so you can secure them on your garage wall and keep them safe. There are two different sizes, #93100002 fits Sportster®, Dyna®, and Softail® and #93100032 fit Dyna® FLD.

Have you heard about the Cruiser Cradle Wheel Chock #92900001. It will hold your bike securely on the ground, on a trailer, or in the back of a pickup truck. It’s lightweight and easy to transport. You can use it in the driveway when you are washing your bike, find out all about it, here.

Harley-Davidson® just came out with a new line of Motorcycle Covers that have many great features like, Antenna Access (Touring and Trike covers feature hook-and-loop opening at the rear to accommodate antennas.

Heat-Resistant panels – Indoor/Outdoor and Premium Indoor covers feature heat resistant panels that protect the cover from warm exhaust.

Reflective Trim – High-visibility reflective trim makes a parked and covered bike more obvious.

Belly Straps – Quick release adjustable straps cinch the cover under the frame to reduce ballooning in the wind.

Water-Resistant Seams – Heavy duty indoor/Outdoor covers feature taped overlapping seams for water resistance.

What about service covers?  Service covers protect your tank and fender while performing routine service on your motorcycle. 94640-08 fits Large Fuel Tanks like , 94642-08 for Sportster® 3.5 gallon or XL with 2.2 or 3.3 gallon tanks, 94645-08 fits Sportster® 4.5, 94641-08 fits large front fender, FL Softail® (except FLS) and Touring models, 94643-08 fits small front fenders, XL, XR, Dyna®, FXR and FX Softail® models.
